Are There Differences Between Funeral Flower Arrangements and Ordinary Bouquets? |

Is there much difference between funeral flower arrangements and ordinary flower bouquets? In some ways yes, and other ways, no. Some of the funeral flower arrangements are made to lay over the casket or be placed on stands to surround the casket. They can be in shapes of hearts or wreaths, and many times, they are monochromatic. White is an especially popular color for flowers for funeral. Sometimes people send multicolored bouquets, and these can be more celebratory than grim. The celebration is not of the death, but rather the life of the deceased. Frankly, I think the color is really a nice contrast to the single colored bouquets at funerals. While most of us think that all of the funeral flower arrangements are for the actual service, sometimes it is comforting for the family to have flowers at home as a sign of support and comfort from their friends and families. If you can't make a funeral, but still want your thoughts to be known at the loss of the loved one, send funeral flowers. It will make both you and the recipient feel better. |
